The situation

When a circuit board failed at the automated test station, the real work began: the technicians searched through extensive text logs from the test hardware for hours to pin down the cause of the defect — laborious, eye-straining and slow.

Our approach

We developed an AI-assisted log-parsing tool based on a specialized sequence-classification model. It reads the large log files in seconds, highlights the three statistically most likely responsible components and links directly to the relevant fault locations in the log.

The outcome

Diagnosis cycles shortened noticeably. The tedious scrolling through walls of text is gone — the specialists focus their skill again on what matters: the actual component swap and soldering on the board.
